Founder of HBT Accounting
Husain Haroun, CPA, FCCA
Husain started the firm in Calgary in 2010. Clients reach him when they want a senior accountant to look at the actual records, explain the options in plain language, and say what should happen next.
How Husain works with clients
CPA is Canada's professional accounting designation. FCCA is a fellowship of ACCA, which recognizes experience, ethics, and continuing professional development. Those designations do not replace a conversation about your entity, province, software, and deadline.
The first call is usually 10 to 15 minutes. Bring the pressure point: a CRA letter, a T2 or T1 date, payroll, messy books, or a decision you do not want to guess. Husain or a team member will tell you what information is needed and whether HBT is the right fit.
You can also find Husain on LinkedIn, or visit the firm page for office hours and the Southeast Calgary address.
Fees
How we price the work
The first conversation is free. We explain the fee, the records required, and the timing before any paid work starts. We do not publish a generic fee menu because a T1, a T2, a monthly bookkeeping file, and a CRA notice are not the same product. You will know the price before you decide.
Before you call
What happens on the first call
The first conversation is free and takes about 10 to 15 minutes. A team member in Calgary answers, asks what is urgent, and explains the useful next step. There is no obligation to start an engagement.
- Step 1
Tell us the pressure point
A CRA letter, a filing deadline, messy books, payroll, or a decision you need to understand.
- Step 2
We ask a few practical questions
Entity type, province, records, software, and the date that matters. You do not need a perfect file first.
- Step 3
You leave with a next step
We explain the work, the information required, timing, and price before anything begins.
