Three prices, because there are three kinds of return

A GST return on reconciled books with one revenue stream is not the same job as one spanning several provinces with mixed supplies. HBT prices them apart. A basic return starts at $175, a standard return at $250 and a complex return at $350.

Registering for the first time starts at $150. Where a period has been missed, or the input tax credits on file do not reconcile, a GST review starts at $250 and is quoted before the filing work begins.

Before you call

What happens on the first call

Entity type, province, records, software, and the date that matters. You do not need a perfect file first.

Fees

How we price the work

The first conversation is free. Starting fees are published on the fees page. Those amounts are starting prices and subject to 5% GST. Final fees depend on complexity, volume, record quality and scope. Fixed fees are provided where the engagement scope can be determined in advance. You will know the price before paid work starts.

Service scope

What sets the price

The exact responsibilities, timing, and records depend on the agreed engagement. These are the areas we can discuss when shaping a scope that fits your business.

How the books arrive

Reconciled records file at the basic rate. Unreconciled ones need a review first, quoted separately.

Where you sell

Selling into other provinces brings place of supply rules and more than one rate into the return.

How many periods

A single current period is one price. Several missed periods are quoted together before any work starts.

How the work begins

A clear process before the accounting starts

  1. Step 1

    Check the account

Reporting period, what is filed, and anything outstanding.

  2. Step 2

    Price the right tier

Basic, standard or complex, confirmed in writing before paid work.

  3. Step 3

    File and keep current

The return filed and the next period scheduled.
